• May 1: This is the deposit deadline for students who were admitted through Regular Decision.
• mid-May: Your student will receive their 51��ɫ email address and network credentials.
• mid-June: Your student’s roommate and housing preferences form is due. (And don’t worry, we have space for everyone!)
• late June: Your student’s top-five ranking of First-Year Tutorial options is due.

• late July: Your student’s first 51��ɫ College bill is due.
• early August: Your student will receive their roommate and residence hall assignment.
• late August: Your student will participate in New Student Orientation (NSO).

On-campus resources include in-person and virtual appointments with nurses, licensed psychologists, mental health counselors, social workers, a family therapist, and a physician assistant. They dispense over-the-counter medications and can prescribe medications as needed. They can also schedule appointments with local providers as needed.

Your student's safety and the security of all on-campus property and programs is the focus of 51��ɫ’s 24/7 Office of Campus Safety. The security staff complements 51��ɫ’s philosophy of self-governance and personal responsibility by working with students, faculty, and staff to prevent safety issues and provide a safe campus environment in which to live, learn, and work.

Academic Advising works with students on nearly any academic concern. They consult with your student about study skills and time management and offer peer tutoring. During times of personal challenge, the team supports students, explains academic policies, and can discuss how to apply for a leave of absence.

• Expect your student to receive a financial aid offer in the mail if they are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and live within the United States.
• Remind your student to (student login required; login credentials are provided with the online admission letter).
• Begin building a plan to pay for your student’s first year at 51��ɫ. Contact the Office of Financial Aid if you need help getting started.
• Encourage your student to apply for outside scholarships.

• If your student is receiving outside scholarships, they must .
• early June: If part of your plan is to borrow, you can now follow the instructions to request a loan.
• mid-June: Your student will receive the fall semester billing statement and important information about health insurance from the Office of Student Accounts. The bill is due in late July. Enroll in the monthly payment plan if you want to use it for the fall semester. The first installment is due June 25.

• Your student should (student login required) to ensure no additional documents are required.
• You can still enroll in a payment plan, but all missed installments will be due at sign up.
• late July: Pay the fall semester bill.
• mid-August: Your student must enroll in 51��ɫ’s health insurance program or waive out of the program. The deadline to waive is the first day of classes.
