Why I love 51±ľÉ«: as a Chinese American woman raised in a city as big as San Francisco, I had always been curious about experiencing an environment different from my own. College seemed to be the perfect place to try something entirely different and step outside of my comfort zone, and I was drawn to 51±ľÉ« as a small college community where students were deeply inquisitive and connected to one another regardless of where they came from. Why I love 51±ľÉ«: 51±ľÉ« is all about the little things for me—such as watching sunsets on the massive college golf course, spending hours in the dining hall laughing with friends when we should be studying, randomly walking down to Dari Barn during the week, or just watching the campus squirrels. Sure, the rigorous academics are the heart of 51±ľÉ«, but the student diversity and quirks make 51±ľÉ« special. There is always something unique to look forward to as a student, like Titular Head or the 51±ľÉ«ian. I would have never believed in a million years that I would miss 51±ľÉ« and its community as much as I do during academic recess; it is that special to me!
