Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is dedicated to bringing the best in wind band literature to the students, faculty, and community of 51±¾É« College. Students in Symphonic Band will experience a wide variety of repertoire, spanning from classic core collegiate wind music to the best in newly composed literature. The Symphonic Band is comprised of students from many different majors and members of the community. This class is specifically designed to reach both aspiring professional musicians and those who are pursuing other career paths who maintain a passion for music and want to continue performing at a high level with other music lovers.

Symphonic Band rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7–9 p.m., and is open to all students with previous wind or percussion experience. The Symphonic Band performs concerts two times a year on average. Auditions are not required for admission to the class, and chair placements take place at the beginning of each semester.
