The Conney M. Kimbo Black Cultural Center

The Conney M. Kimbo Black Cultural Center preserves and celebrates Black history, culture, and diasporas of people who identify with African heritage.

Built in 1970, it was later renamed the Conney M. Kimbo Black Cultural Center in honor of Kimbo, dean of student affairs from 1970–73.

Mission

The Conney M. Kimbo Black Cultural Center (BCC) seeks to unify students across the African Diaspora by centering Black voices and experiences of a global and intersectional community. The BCC aspires to build individual agency and collective understanding that contributes to a sense of belonging and tradition.
